In a hot summer day, the owners must not ignore the matter of preventing heatstroke. Dogs rarely sweat and can only breathe to dissipate heat, so they are more susceptible to heatstroke than humans. If you find signs of heatstroke, be sure to take emergency measures and send them to the emergency department. Do not delay treatment.

What can cause heat stroke in pets?

  1. Left alone in the car.

  2. Do strenuous exercise

  3. Confined to cement or tar ground

  4. A place where there is no water or shade.

  5. Fever or convulsions cause excessive temperature

  6. Pets who had difficulty breathing because of health problems

  7. Short nose pet

  8. Fat pets

1. Watch out for sunburn.

Pets with short white hair are more likely to burn. Some pets who have just shaved their hair are also prone to sunburn. The area above the nose is the most sunburned, especially if it’s a bit of a wound.

2. Watch out to paw burns

Don’t take too hot a walk on the ground, such as a tarmac. It’s best to take a walk when the sun is low.

3. Be careful with outdoor sports safety

The weather is fine, and the outdoor activities of pets have increased. Be sure to check all possible risk factors before the event. Increasing contact with other pets, and make sure that the dog’s vaccine can avoid diseases in a timely manner. Take a walk with a rope to avoid accidents on the road. Don’t to get too much exercise to cause heatstroke.

4 . Be careful to prevent insects

Plenty of worms in summer, be careful to prevent extra corporeal parasites (mainly fleas and ticks) and heart filaments. If a pet is bitten by any insect, it can have an allergic reaction. If you have symptoms of redness and inflammation, you need to see a doctor in time.
